I was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota and raised on a farm/ranch operation between Eureka and Leola South Dakota. I graduated from Northern State University in 2018 with a degree in Communication Studies and worked as the District Technician for the South Brown Conservation District since 2015. I have also been serving with the 200th Engineer Company in the South Dakota Army National Guard since December of 2013.
I married my high school sweetheart, Jessica, in May of 2018. We spend free time on our farm, taking care of our flock of chickens and ducks as well as our two energetic coon-hounds, Otis & Cooper. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. It’s not uncommon to find me 20 feet in the air, hunting deer from a tree stand or out walking a field, looking to kick up a rooster.
Having a firm understanding of both urban and rural life, as well as a strong ag/ranch background, I look forward to assisting you with any insurance needs that you may have.
I am a Groton native, and joined Farmers Union Insurance in October of 2014. After graduating from Presentation College in 2003, I was employed at the Aberdeen Federal Credit Union for many years.
In May 2003, I married Paula Sauerwein from Warner and we started our life together in Aberdeen. Paula is employed in the Groton Area School District. Over the years we added two rambunctious boys by the names of Ryder and Asher. They love to play football, basketball, golf and go snowmobiling. I also enjoy these activities and am thankful to be able to take the time to be with my family.
I pride myself on customer service, hard work and am familiar with all aspects of insurance. I am prepared to discuss your insurance objectives.

I am a farmer at heart. Growing up on the family farm in Carthage, SD and working with my dad and grandpa are some of the greatest memories I have. I still get a chance to get dirty once in a while when I go home to help my dad even today.
I was with Wells Fargo for five years working with farm families every day on their finances and crop insurance. In 2005 I was given an opportunity to go into the insurance business with my uncle Leroy Person and his son Troy Person in their family-owned agency. It was such a great opportunity as I had the opportunity to learn from Leroy who had more than 17 years in the business and was also a retired teacher.
I’m married to Jessica and we have two children. Helping my customers and giving them the service they deserve are what I like most about being an agent.

Hi, I’m Todd Nichols. Providing people with peace of mind runs in my family. Since 1974, my family has owned an insurance company in our corner of northeastern South Dakota, and in 2011, I took it over from my father-in-law. I have continued to run his business, Dohrer Insurance Agency, for three years now, and I am proud to call myself a member of Farmers Union Insurance.
With the help of Farmers Union, my General Licensing certification, my Customer Service Representative Rita Weise, and of course my family, I’ve been able to provide my insureds with high-quality, affordable insurance on their homes, vehicles, crops and farms. We also provide life insurance, health insurance, renters insurance, and commercial insurance.
For a quote on any of these South Dakota insurance services, you can call me directly at (605) 886-9683.

Being involved in the Webster community, I have appreciated the wonderful kinship spirit of our town and I am proud to be a part of it. It is a place I have chosen to raise my family. I am confident that, along with Larry Baumgarn, who is also a Farmers Union Insurance in this office, we will do our best to be the "place" to go for protection from all of life's risks.
We treat our clients as friends and you are always welcome to pop in for a hot cup of coffee or a soda. We want to get to know our clients and will take the time to visit with you.
I have been an agent with Farmers Union Insurance since 2002. I started this business after working for an independent adjusting company and discovered that a lot of customers had policies that were written incorrectly. After a claim is filed, you find out just how good or how lacking your coverage is. I decided there was room for an agent who cares about customers and will work for their best interests first, hence, my career started with Farmers Union Insurance.
As an insurance agent with life, annuities and securities to property and casualty coverages, as well as commercial and even some crop insurance. An excellent agent needs to understand all areas of insurance to confidently recommend the proper coverages for their clients.
My goal when I started this career was to do the best job I could for my insureds. That, at times, means nights, weekends and, yes, even holidays! Your crisis becomes mine, and I really feel my job begins when your disaster starts.
