Collin Palmer
Collin was born and raised on his family's ranch in Bison, South Dakota. He attended Bison High School, graduating as the salutatorian, and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Black Hills State University, specializing in Entrepreneurial Studies, Marketing, and Social Media.
Collin has now returned to Bison and runs the family ranch alongside his older brother. He remains deeply involved in the rodeo and ranching lifestyle and is active in his community. Collin says, “I am excited about this opportunity with Farmers Union Insurance!”

Harley Mollman, Crop Insurance Agent
My name is Harley David Mollman, and I was born in Hettinger, ND and grew up on a ranch near Ludlow and in Buffalo, South Dakota. I attended a country school at Ludlow from kindergarten to 2ndgrade, and then moved to Harding County Elementary and High School in Buffalo form 3rd grade to my senior year. I was involved in football, basketball and track, youth group and Student Council. I was fortunate to receive All Conference and All State recognition for football, including a state title my sophomore year.
During my time in High School, I would help my dad out at the ranch with haying, tending to cattle, farming and harvesting. I would also be part of the local traveling branding crew, helping local ranchers work their livestock with a group of other kids. I also helped my stepdad with his concrete business, pouring concrete sidewalks, shops, garages, pads and water tanks for livestock. Matter of fact, I poured concrete for a friend in Killdeer on my way to college in 2015.
I went to college in Bismarck, ND to go pursue a Business Administration degree at the University of Mary. I was recruited to play football there as a Wide Receiver. I redshirted my first year and got to play up until 2018. I decided not to play my senior year and went home to help my dad with the wheat harvest. I graduated in 2019 with honors, got married to my beautiful wife Jenny and started working at the new Lawn and Land John Deere dealership for RDO Equipment. I worked there until December of 2020 and accepted at job at Gooseneck Implement in Bowman ND. I worked there as a Sales Associate for a year and then moved to Buffalo, South Dakota to work as a Shop Manager for a mechanic shop called Olson Shop. I then worked there for a year and then finally was able to move into the Farmers Union Insurance office with Jenn Wickstrom Agency in 2022. I got my Property and Casualty license and became a CSR. We are a family owned and operated agency, with my wife Jenny as a CSR with my mom, Jenn Wickstrom, as the main agent and support the feed business. I help coach the junior high football team, I am President of the Harding County Chamber of Commerce and also part of the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department.

Chris Goldsmith
Lemmon is where I’ve called home my entire life. After graduating from Lemmon High School, I went on to receive my college degree and started a career in Law Enforcement. After 11 years in Law Enforcement, my family and I decided that it was time for a career change, which has brought me to Farmers Union Insurance. In June 2021, I began working for the Derschan Agency with the eventual transition to take over the agency.
My wife, Jen, and I have two children (Aiden and Riley) that do a great job of keeping us on our toes. Jen, who is also a native of Lemmon, operates a home daycare.
Community involvement is important to us which was one of the reasons Farmers Union Insurance was a great fit. In the summer you can usually find us spending time on the lake or running around to our kids’ activities and in the winter, I can usually be found on the basketball court officiating basketball.
I look forward to helping our customers and all future customers with all their insurance needs.
